“The end of an odyssey, thanks to a small tablet.”
That is how Anja Heinze’s testimonial on LinkedIn begins. It talks about 25 years of suffering from periodontitis.
Bleeding gums, gum pockets, and impending bone loss as symptoms of periodontitis
Typical symptoms are swollen, red gums and bleeding gums, which she also reports. But bad breath can also be a symptom of periodontitis.
Bone loss in the jaw, also a typical symptom, is responsible for teeth becoming loose. In the case of this new Denttabs customer, it was bone loss in the lower jaw.
Gum pockets also usually form, and the gums recede, which makes the teeth appear longer.
Exposed tooth necks
Due to this recession, it can also happen that tooth necks become exposed. This makes teeth more sensitive, and periodontitis patients experience pain more often—especially with cold or hot drinks and food.
Teeth can also react sensitively to sweet or acidic foods.
What to do about periodontitis symptoms?
First of all: we are not experts in this area. But what we read from Anja Heinze was great, and it certainly makes sense for periodontitis patients to run a self-test and switch from toothpaste to Denttabs tooth cleaning tablets.
At the beginning of December 2025, the periodontitis patient started her self-experiment:
She switched to our tooth cleaning tablets. Months have now passed, and she has been to the dentist for a check-up.
The result:
-
She has not had bleeding gums for four months now
-
No bleeding during professional dental cleaning either
-
Gum pockets are at 3–3.5mm (previously 6mm!)
-
The X-rays show no abnormalities
What we can take away from this:
As already written: Try it out and see for yourself.
Does Denttabs have anything to do with the improvement? Indirectly, yes!
We assume that using Denttabs instead of toothpaste helps alleviate the symptoms of periodontitis. While the ingredients in Denttabs do not contain any medicinal cures, they also do not contain any potentially harmful ingredients.
From our perspective, it is precisely the omission of these questionable ingredients that is responsible for the observed symptom relief.
